Scenes I liked best in the
movie:
there
are 3 scenes that we liked so much about this movie
1. The Stan Lee Tribute & Cameo : The opening signature concludes with a card
simply reading, "Thank you, Stan." It was a super neat, dignified
tribute to the Marvel legend and one which surely had many fans fighting back
tears before the movie even started. And
typically, Stan the Man also gets his customary cameo in the movie proper,
appearing as an old man taking the Los Angeles Metro during Carol's first
chase sequence on Earth.
2. The Los Angeles Chase : Though much of the movie's action suffers from sloppy
editing, the first set-piece once Carol crash-lands on Earth is one of the
easy highlights. Carol pursues the Skrull operative onto the LA Metro system,
whereby she ends up battling the Skrull as it assumes the form of an old
lady.
3. The Skrull Twist : The biggest and most pleasant surprise in Captain Marvel is
the revelation that Skrull leader Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) isn't quite the
one-dimensional villain everyone expected him to be. Rather, he's actually a
refugee seeking out a new home after the Kree annihilated his home planet,
and he simply wishes to be reunited with his family. It's a great twist built
on the audience's expectation that Ben Mendelsohn always plays hammy bad
guys, so to see that subverted rather ingeniously here was a nice touch. But
Talos is far from a squeaky-clean good guy, as he notes there being plenty of
blood on his hands and forms only a most tenuous partnership with Carol and
co. The film does a great job making him sympathetic and unexpectedly
likeable, especially during some of his banter with the heroes. "Why
would I become a filing cabinet?" It might disappoint some that this
effectively puts the kibosh on any immediate Secret Invasion storyline in the
MCU, but it was certainly a refreshing change from just making the Skrull
another generic alien army.

Scenes that I did not like:
There
are several scenes that made us cringe when we watched this film
1. First we will start from the acting, in our opinion their
acting is not bad but sometimes in a serious film the actors should use the
serious expression to convince the audience that what they feel is real, i
captain marvel they use less serious expression that made us not sure if they
were in that situation.
2. The CGI or special effects: for a movie like Captain Marvel
they should have made the animation looks more real, however they fail to
impress us as audience as the special effects do not look real.
3. Lack of emotion: when Carol Danvers the main character in
this film finally made it to come home, she did not show the real emotion of
loss or missing something that she had before on his home planet, when her
best friend told her story when she was still a pilot with her, Carol did not
show her sadness she even did not cry during that story. So, for us it was
not really good and we did not like it.
|
Outstanding individual
performances:
Larson stars as the title character, also
known as Carol Danvers, a former US Air Force pilot turned superhero who
tries to come to terms with her past and origin story while fighting as part
of a galactic war between two alien populations.
Critics have commanded the Oscar-winning actor for
her début performance as the superhero and her mastery of Marvel's
mix of bravado, humor and morals. Danvers's story has also been received
positively, though some reviewers found themselves wanting for more nuance,
more clarity, or more excitement.
Captain Marvel is
enjoyable enough as popcorn entertainment. You can’t help but admire the
dextrous way the filmmakers fit the movie and its many protagonists within
the Marvel cinematic universe or the humour with which they take us back to
the 1990s. Larson makes a thoroughly engaging superhero, witty, courageous
and with a sensitivity you don’t always find in characters trying to save the
world. The film, though, is one dimensional. It’s the 21st entry in a cycle
that began with Iron Manin 2008
and signs of rust are now beginning to appear.
|
Performances that were not
so good:
after
we saw the movie we come in conclusion there was a performance by an actor
that we think is still lack of characteristic. Jude Law as Yon-Rogg played
the character a villain which is almost the same like a protagonist. Jude Law
did not portray this villainous character like an evil person, he still kind
of look like a good person who had guilty feeling of killing other people, as
a villain he should not be like
that
he should be more cruel and mean.

What was believable about the movie?
After 20 Marvel films—yes, you read that right—eight of which can
be considered origin stories, it’s easy to notice the predictability of the
Marvel Story Formula. MCU films open with a scene embodying the emotional
arc, wherein our hero is too puny for the military, or turns green with
uncontrollable rage, and so on. There’s a physical conflict of global or
intergalactic scale, usually instigated by a rogue villain with confusing
motivations. The hero’s perspective is seriously altered after he, say, fails
to save Gwen Stacy or he realizes he’s been dealing weapons to warmongers,
and in losing everything the hero’s full potential is triggered. This formula
is part of the reason we watch Marvel movies the same way we karaoke to
Journey or beat a single favorite pair of shoes. It’s also the reason Marvel’s origin stories
tend to be their most dull—without the added intrigue of more than one hero,
the formula becomes fully, nakedly obvious. Captain Marvel does
not deviate from this formula.
What was not believable?
the technology, it was impossible for humans to create
such advanced spaceship like in this movie.

Would you recommend that
your readers see this movie?
Why or why not?
Of course
we would like to recommend this movie to our readers, why? Because this is a
very good movie overall specially for the comic book fans and the fans of
Marvel Cinematic Universe films. This
movie also taught the audience to feel strong and to never give up on your
dreams.

Marvel’s
superhero adventure veers from boomingly serious to quirkily droll as Larson
wages a vicious war against evil aliens.

This latest tale from the Marvel cinematic
universe takes us way back in time, many years before the great catastrophe
shown in Avengers:
Infinity War. We have crash-landed in mid-90s America: a hilariously
antediluvian world of Blockbuster video stores, dial-up internet, web searches
via AltaVista, and grindingly slow CD-Rom drives. At one important stage,
there’s a soundtrack outing for Nirvana: “Come as you are,
as you were / As I want you to be / As a friend, as a friend / As a known enemy
...”
